Fun with the Floods

Every time we visit our families, we have to take time out to visit our wonderful friends, the Floods.  They are so much fun, and we really miss them since they moved away.
This visit we decided to meet at a fun playground so the kids could play and Jenna and I could talk.  The kids didn't really need the playground to have play with each other - they just needed one another to feed off.
The playground did get used - just not as much as we thought.
It was so nice to visit with you.  We really miss you guys and can't wait to see you on our next trip!

Christmas Cookies in Capistrano

In December, A1 had an unexpected day off school, so we visited with some of our favorite friends, Bentley and Gaige. We really miss them since they moved away to San Juan Capistrano from living right down the hall from us. But it's nice that they're close enough that we can visit them every few months.

They took us to a nearby playground, which was really fun. The favorite part was a "raft" which could be moved from the sidelines. The kids teamed up to take turns moving each other on the raft.
Then we went to their house for lunch and to decorate Christmas cookies. Jaime's sister and her boys joined us for the cookies. I liked getting to know her a little bit better, and A2 enjoyed playing with new friends. And the cookies were delicious!

We Miss Our Friends!

This summer our bestest friends moved away, the Johnsons to the OC and the Floods to Utah. We miss them everyday and wish that they were still here. Who is supposed to tell me to get over myself when I start complaining? Who can I distract from actually earning a living at home? Whose apartment can I go to when I need eggs and don't feel like changing out of my pajamas? Who will feed me delicious French food when I'm supposed to be losing weight?

We couldn't stand it without them anymore, so we all met at Jaime's house for a day-long visit. The kids loved to see their friends again and couldn't believe what it was like to actually live in a house. Their favorite part of the house: stairs inside the house. Unbelievable!

We still miss you, friends. We need to set up another playdate!
