Grandma J Joins the California Fun

Grandma Jensen came to join us for the week of A2's birthday. We had to show her the greatest time because she doesn't get to play in California all that often. We took her to all the best places.


Of course we went to Disneyland. Halloween time is one of the best times - they go all out in their decorations.
They do amazing pumpkin carving (none of the pictures I took really do the carvings justice) and they set up whole scenes with the pumpkins. We especially enjoyed playing cards with these cowboys.
The kids enjoyed taking Grandma on all their favorite rides: the Carousel, Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters, the Tea Cups, Gadget's Go Coaster, the Jungle Cruise, etc.
Isn't Grandma the greatest for taking the kids on a ride that Mommy refuses to go on?
We also went to the Long Beach Aquarium, the best aquarium around here.
A1 and A2 absolutely love checking out the fish and other sea creatures at the Aquarium. Their favorite is petting the sharks, which we didn't get a picture of (of course). They also liked showing Grandma all the best and most colorful fish.
And they had to show off their version of sleeping with the fishes - they're ready to be part of the mob, don't you think?
Grandma, we love having you visit. We can't wait until you come back again!
